Losing your loved one, regardless of the circumstance of their death, is a very bewildering and often lonely experience. I remember feeling like I should be doing the work of ‘grief’ a certain way – while the entire world was willing to give me all kinds of unsolicited advice and ‘bright-side’ my new reality. I was always wondering if the way I was coping was normal while feeling like a totally different person than I had been before my husband died. It was an unsettling time, for sure. My future was unknown (not to mention that Covid showed up right after his death). I needed a person to just witness my grief, listen to my stories about my husband’s illness and death and honor my love for him. In these sessions, I work with you, either digitally, in person or a hybrid option to help you feel less alone and provide support you need to navigate your new reality. I am committed providing the highest level of grief support through education, experience, and insights into the often unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief which I learned in David Kessler’s Grief Educator course and continue to develop by moderating his specific loss groups in his Tender Hearts program.
I look forward to working with you. I am deeply committed to assisting you in all aspects of your bereavement and/or end-of-life care, whether you are facing your own or a loved one’s loss or are living with the grief after a loved one’s death. It is important that we have a clear understanding about our work together.
My services are grounded in both professional training and certifications as well as my profound, lived experience with grief.
